We're looking for a skilled Carpenter & Joiner to join our team. Responsibilities: Working from architectural drawings, cutting lists and specifications to plan materials, dimensions and installation sequences Measuring, marking out, cutting and shaping timber, sheet materials and engineered wood products using hand and power tools First-fix work: floor joists, roof structures, stud partitions and timber framing Second-fix work: doors and linings, staircases, skirting, architrave, window boards and fitted units Fitting manufactured and purpose-made joinery, checking level, plumb, alignment and secure fixing Forming joints and connections to standard, and choosing the right fixings, adhesives and finishes for each job Constructing and striking formwork and temporary timber structures where needed Repairing and refurbishing existing timber, matching profiles and finishes Checking your own work against tolerances and putting right any defects before handover Looking after your tools and flagging anything that needs repair or replacing Coordinating with site management and other trades to keep to programme Working safely at all times, safe tool use, manual handling, working at height and correct PPE About You: At least 1 years of experience across first-fix and second-fix. Comfortable reading technical drawings and working to building-regulation and spec standards Fully competent with the full range of carpentry hand and power tools Strong on measurement, marking out, jointing and finishing Good working knowledge of building and health-and-safety standards Able to work independently and as part of a team Working Hours: 39 Hours Per week Annual Salary: 36,650.00 Hourly Rate: €18.07 Company: Master Craft Carpentery Limited Job Location: 30 Esker Hills, Ballinasloe, Galway, Ireland, H53 XK25 Start date: 14/12/2026
