About this role
Waste Disposal Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Packages expired chemicals for shipment or disposal. Empties satellite containers into bulk containers and takes back to laboratory for reuse. Maintains chemical storage area to keep it clutter-free and free of fire hazards. Ships hazardous waste from the laboratory prior to the RCRA time limit for the facility. Tracks volume of waste generated for reporting to corporate and EPA. Prepares and tracks implementation of Waste Minimization Plan. Orders and maintains chemical inventory for the laboratory. Manages consignment room to keep all laboratory areas supplied. Provides assistance to other departments/areas as needed. The ideal candidate would possess:
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.Basic Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Employee would start as a technician and be expected to complete RCRA and DOT/IATA training and certification, paid for by Eurofins, within the first 90 days.
Upon completion of training and certification, contingent on good performance, the employee will be eligible for a pay increase.
Position is full-time, working 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday-Friday, some weekend required overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within commutable distance to Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.
