VodafoneThree Wholesale has entered a once-in-a-generation opportunity to redefine the UK connectivity market. Our newly merged business brings together the scale, innovation, network strength and market expertise of two industry leaders — creating the most advanced mobile network in the UK and unlocking bold new possibilities for our customers.

We’re building a brand-new Wholesale team to set and deliver an ambitious wholesale strategy that drives sustainable growth, launches new revenue streams, forges powerful partnerships and delivers on customer experience. These roles are at the forefront of shaping our market position and ensuring our network advantage translates into commercial success at a pivotal moment for the market and VodafoneThree.

The Roaming & Interconnect team are responsible for managing VodafoneThree’ s commercial relationship with third party operators and Group Roaming Services for Interconnect & Roaming services. The Roaming Commercial Manager will support the Senior Roaming Manager in driving VodafoneThree’ s Commercial Roaming strategy and delivering our Roaming & Visitor Detailed Budget (DB) combined with providing a seamless, high-quality roaming experience for our +30 million customers travelling abroad, whilst also delivering exceptional service to millions of inbound visitors on our networks.

The role will require the candidate to work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business, (inc. Group Roaming functions, Finance, EBU, CBU, Regulatory, Billing) combined with understanding highly complex commercial and charging models, using available performance data to make informed decisions.

Support the Senior Roaming Manager to ensure the DB and VodafoneThree Roaming strategy are successfully delivered for Roaming and VisitorManage and track VodafoneThree’ s cost and revenue bases vs. the agreed Roaming & Visitor PlanProvide regular monitoring and reporting for all key KPIs and metricsEnsure that Roaming & Interconnect rates are tracked and communicated to relevant stakeholders across VodafoneThreeCalculate and understand the values associated with Roaming Settlement Agreements.Facilitate commercial understanding of Roaming across the business, providing insight into Roaming trends, Market changes and customer usage behavioursManage the commercial and operational relationships with third party vendors & internal teamsSupport Business units with their retail proposition changes or customer experience improvementsEnsure that VodafoneThree complies with UK regulations and industry standards for Roaming, working with Regulatory team, Group functions and Billing Ops as appropriate to enable compliance.Assist the Senior Roaming Manager in defining future trading models and services to optimize long term business performance, e.g. NB-IOT, LTE-M, 5G SA Roaming, Props v Travel SIM

Knowledge and experience in Roaming and Wholesale services and of regulatory requirements and industry standardsStrong commercial acumen, with negotiation experience and ability to provide leadership.Numerate, with excellent excel and analytical skills, and experience of data analysis and modelling/forecastingAbility to recognise and evaluate potential commercial risk and identify appropriate mitigation strategiesComfortable working and developing relationships with a variety of teams and stakeholders within VodafoneThree.
