In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering packages to customers while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer service. You will be the face of our organization, ensuring that every delivery is completed on time and with care.
Operate a delivery vehicle safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocolsPlan and execute optimal delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize delivery timesLoad, unload, and transport packages of varying sizes and weights to customer locationsObtain customer signatures and handle payment transactions as requiredMaintain accurate delivery records and update delivery status in real-time using company systemsPerform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptlyProvide professional and courteous customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving delivery concernsInspect packages for damage or discrepancies before deliveryMeet daily and weekly delivery targets while maintaining quality standardsCommunicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding route changes or delivery obstacles Valid driver's license with a clean driving recordProven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar transportation roleStrong knowledge of vehicle operation, maintenance, and safety proceduresProficiency with GPS navigation systems and delivery management softwareExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to lift, carry, and handle packages weighing up to 50 pounds regularlyStrong interpersonal and communication skillsProfessional appearance and demeanorAbility to work independently and manage multiple deliveries efficientlyProblem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging customer situationsFamiliarity with local roads and traffic patterns in the Creve Coeur area (preferred)Experience with package tracking systems (preferred)
