The starting base hourly rate for this role is: $17.50
This role is eligible for a $0.50 increase at both 6 months and 1 year of continued employment at Primark.
The pay rate offered for this role is based on the candidate’s geographic region of work.
To perform the essential functions of this position, colleagues must be able to satisfy the following physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
This position requires the ability to constantly stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift, on hard- surface floors. Colleagues must frequently bend, stoop, crouch, and reach at or above shoulder level. The role also requires frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling merchandise and fixtures weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally participating in team lifts for items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Colleagues must constantly perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, including handling and processing merchandise, operating cash registers or other point of sale systems, and using handheld devices. The position requires movement throughout the sales floor and stockroom, occasional use of stairs or ladders where applicable, and occasional work in varying temperatures, including in outdoor areas or storage spaces where applicable.
Depending on their assigned responsibilities, colleagues may receive training on the safe use of equipment such as balers, manual pallet jacks, and electric pallet jacks, and may be required to operate such equipment when properly trained and authorized. In no circumstances are colleagues under 18 permitted to use balers, manual pallet jacks, or electric pallet jacks.
