About this role
As a Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering technical training programs for the Data Center Communities (DCC) Operations teams. You will manage and conduct initial technical training programs for new hires, ensuring they are properly equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to operate and maintain AWS' sophisticated data center infrastructure. Key job responsibilities Training Program Management: • Design and deliver engaging instructor-led training sessions covering data center operations, critical infrastructure systems, and standard operating procedures • Manage all logistics of new hire training programs, including scheduling, classroom coordination, and lab space utilization • Maintain and certify instructor qualifications and perform certification observations • Monitor trainee progress and address any behavioral or policy issues • Process training completions and maintain accurate training records Learning Lab Management: • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for all lab equipment and training facilities • Maintain and optimize training spaces and equipment • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for lab equipment operation • Create practical training scenarios that simulate real-world data center situations • Support the setup and commissioning of new training labs across different regions • Prepare lab equipment and spaces for upcoming training sessions Program Development: • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to develop and update training materials • Identify and implement improvements to training content and delivery methods • Create supporting training resources and documentation • Stay current with latest data center technologies and operational practices • Gather and act on feedback from trainees, managers, and instructors
