Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Commercial. Installation. Tasks: Install electrical controls and panel boxes. Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes. Install underground wiring and cables. Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits. Troubleshoot and isolate faults. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Commission systems and components. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Electrician Trade Certification. Working at heights training. Equipment, eystems and controls experience: Building system. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Vehicle supplied by employer. Willing to travel.
