About this role
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Room and board provided. Tasks: Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas. Develop and guide the behaviour of farm animals. Diagnose livestock health issues. Handling animals. Monitor the calving process. Monitoring animal health. Perform animal grooming activities . Perform livestock feeding. Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving. Track and report on current feed inventory . Feed and tend animals. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Milk cows. Perform general farm duties. Employment terms options: Early morning. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Employment terms options: Night. Weekend. Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth.
