Education: College/CEGEP. Mechanical engineering related technologies/technicians, other. Industrial mechanics and maintenance technology. Tasks: Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up. Perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical systems failures. Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance. Set up, prepare and adjust processing machinery. Perform preventive maintenance. Perform routine maintenance. Calibrate components and instruments. Adjusting machinery and equipment to proper settings. Manufacturing sector experience: Textile. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Personal suitability: Analytical. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.
