About this role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Address customers' complaints or concerns. Load and unload goods. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Trans-border documentation. Trip reports. Security and safety: Valid passport. Basic security clearance. Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Large workload. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Experience: 1 to less than 7 months. Employment terms options: Early morning.
