CDL-A REGIONAL FLATBED DRIVER
Steel and Pipe Supply – Jonesburg, MO
$3,000 SIGN-ON BONUS | $1,480 MINIMUM WEEKLY PAY | HOME WEEKENDS
Steel and Pipe Supply is hiring CDL-A Regional Flatbed Drivers to haul steel products from our Jonesburg, Missouri facility.
You do not have to live in Jonesburg. Loads are picked up in Jonesburg, but drivers may be based in Columbia, St. Louis, or surrounding areas as long as they have access to approved, secure truck parking.
This is a regional position offering excellent earning potential and home time. Drivers could be out up to five nights per week, but typically are out only 1–2 nights per week.
PAY & BONUSES
• Minimum weekly pay: $1,480 for OTR drivers who meet daily check-in/check-out and work-assignment requirements
• Top earners can make $90,000+
• $3,000 sign-on bonus
• $1,500 after 30 days
• $1,500 after 60 days
• $0.60 per mile
• $17.30 per stop
• $17.30 per trip
• $17.30/hour for delays and other qualifying hourly activities
• $52.50 layover pay paid as an expense, not taxable income
• Drop-and-hook paid as one stop: $17.30
• Employee referral bonuses up to $825
• Paid weekly
HOME TIME
We understand that home time matters.
• Home weekends
• Regional routes
• Typically 1–2 nights away from home per week
• Some routes or business needs may require up to 5 nights away
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a CDL-A Regional Flatbed Driver, you'll safely transport steel products using a tractor and flatbed trailer. Responsibilities include:
• Safely operate tractor/trailer equipment
• Secure loads using chains, straps, and other approved securement devices
• Tarp and protect loads when required
• Complete shipping and delivery paperwork accurately and on time
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety requirements
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain HOS, DVIRs, proof of deliveries, fuel receipts, and other required records
• Communicate with supervisors, sales, customers, and our transportation network
• Promptly report accidents, incidents, equipment concerns, and safety issues
• Help ensure cargo arrives safely and securely at its destination
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
• Valid CDL-A
• Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate
• Acceptable motor vehicle record
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards
• Ability to safely secure flatbed loads using chains and straps
• Ability to tarp loads as required
• Ability to safely handle the physical demands associated with flatbed driving
• Strong communication skills
• Commitment to Safety, Accountability, Integrity, and Responsibility
Preferred:
• 2 years of CDL driving experience
• 1 year of flatbed experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
