About this role
SUMMARY: The basic function of the Cutting Inspector is to monitor product flow from the cutting process for quality assurance. Prepare cutting blades and necessary documentation for shipping and change out. Clean and inspect cutting equipment in a safe, environmentally compliant and professional manner.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITES:
The following lists the principle activities associated with the position of Cutting Inspector. • Monitor product flow on the cutting line for defects • Log and report defects • Monitor all rollers and conveyor belts and reports issues or concerns • Assist with cutting blade changeouts • Prepare cutting blades and paperwork for shipping • Dimension checks
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:

SAFETY:
• Understand and follow all safety procedures o Current on all safety trainings o Wears all required PPE when necessary (steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs) • Understand Lock Out Tag Out procedures for assigned areas. • Perform duties according to OSHA guidelines, policies and procedures • Complete General Plant Safety Training within the first 8 weeks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. • Must be able to work 10%-50% of shift while continuously standing, twisting, bending, reaching, and stooping. • Must be able to work environment which is dusty and noisy. • Must be able to work in plant environment with extreme seasonal temperatures. • Must be able to safely walk and work around machinery. • Needs to be able to go up and down stairs 60% of the time.
