Riverton Co-op is hiring a Meat Manager on a permanent basis for our Store Riverton, MB. We're seeking a Meat Manager with meat cutting skills to join our team. Working within a combined Meat and Deli department.
What you'll do:
• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Meat Department, including production, merchandising, inventory, and food safety.
• Coordinate, supervise, and direct all Meat Department operations.
• Ensure the department operates efficiently and profitably.
• Maintain high-quality products and exceptional customer service standards.
• Implement marketing and promotional initiatives to drive sales and department growth.
• Foster a positive, engaged, and productive team environment.
• Manage departmental revenue and expense budgets.
• Monitor and achieve productivity targets.
• Uphold food safety, quality, and merchandising standards.
• Ensure guest service levels remain consistently high.
• Support the training and development of department team members.
Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:
• You have 3 years' experience in a supervisory role and leading others; previous retail supervisory experience is considered an asset.
• Physically capable of performing dynamic and static movements, repetitive motions, and repeated lifting of up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Meat cutting experience considered an asset.
• You're honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
• You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
• Be willing to work a varied schedule, that includes rotating Saturday shifts. Riverton Coop is open 7 days a week and usually closes at 6:00 PM.
