About this role
Spaceco is seeking a CAD Technician whose position is to provide computer-aided design support to the CAD Manager, Design Engineers, and other project team members.
What You'll Do
• Responsible for providing CAD support with the design team in preparing engineering/survey plan sets and creating reports
• Keeps supervisor informed of workload and any changes in project schedule
• Maintains organized work area and has responsibility to ensure drawings are plotted on schedule
• Meets productivity standards; Completes work in a timely manner; Strives to increase productivity
• Performs non-routine tasks from verbal instructions and under minimal supervision.
• Reviews all work for task completeness and accuracy prior to submitting to supervisor for review
• Understands and follows company standard CAD procedures for layering, etc., and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout. Suggest improvements to standard procedures
• Provides an accurate accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry on a weekly basis
• Demonstrated improvements in all areas of responsibilities as experience increases
• Potential for limited field work
What You Bring
Education: High School Graduate.
Experience: 0-3 years of CAD operation in a related engineering or surveying environment.
• Has completed some technical schooling or other course work in CAD software.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide; performs algebraic and geometric calculations. Performs calculations using fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
