Saint Andrew School, located in Chicago's Lakeview/Roscoe Village neighborhood, is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Education Aide to support our early childhood program. The aide will work closely with classroom teachers to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for our youngest students.
Essential Responsibilities
● Assist the classroom teacher with daily routines, activities, and transitions. ● Provide attentive supervision and support to young children throughout the school day. ● Assist students with age-appropriate personal care and classroom needs. ● Help prepare materials and learning activities. ● Support a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. ● Encourage positive social interactions and age-appropriate independence. ● Assist with arrival, dismissal, lunch/snack, rest time, and other daily routines as needed. ● Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members. ● Communicate respectfully and professionally with students, families, and staff. ● Follow all school policies and procedures related to student safety, supervision, and confidentiality. ● Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration.
Qualifications
● Previous experience working with young children preferred. ● High school diploma or equivalent required. ● Ability to work positively and collaboratively as part of a team. ● Patient, nurturing, dependable, and responsible. ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills. ● Ability to maintain a calm and positive environment for young children. ● Commitment to the mission and values of Saint Andrew School.

This position has an hourly range of $21.00 - $23,00. An employee's pay within the hourly range will be based on many factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
