Position Summary
Technician providing ECHO cardiograms. Schedules, prepares, administers and reports interpretations of Echocardiograms, M-mode, 2-dimensional, Doppler, color flow mapping, transesophageal imaging, Stress ECHO and assists Cardiologist.
• Assesses patient data and formulates plan of intervention. • Implements patient care plan. • Performs 12 Lead EKG. • Performs exercise stress testing. • Applies Holter monitor. • Performs Echocardiographic studies: 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler. • Assists with transesophageal echocardiograms. • Evaluates and calculates echocardiogram raw data and scores, calculates the raw data, and presents it in an appropriate manner. • Utilizes computer for Holter tap scanning and EKG editing. • Documents interventions and patient responses. • Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned
• Special Skills: • Ability to recognize cardiac diseases during imaging with proficiency in cardiac measurements. • Excellent customer service skills.
• Minimum Requirements • Education: Graduate of an approved ARDMS school • Certifications: Echocardiographic Technician Certification, CPR.
• Preferred Requirements • Experience: Experience as an Echocardiographic Technician under the supervision of a Certified Technician and a Cardiologist. • Certification/Registrations: RDCS
