The roots of Martin Companies trace back to 1973, when Dennis & Geraldine Martin started in business as Martin Appliance Service, based out of their home. The company expanded over the years to include appliance and furniture sales, commercial and residential water testing and treatment, and HVAC sales and service. We have the privilege of serving thousands of customers throughout Pennsylvania, New York, and Maryland with our five divisions:

Administrative Assistant
We are searching for an Administrative Assistant who possesses a positive attitude, a servant's heart, and a strong commitment to ethics and integrity, as well as the ability to maintain a professional demeanor and demonstrate empathy and tact, especially in challenging situations. We are looking for a Team Member who can work humbly and cooperatively within the team while also taking initiative without direct supervision.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Customer Service: Assist customers professionally and courteously – electronically and in person.
• Scheduling in Home Services: Assist with scheduling appliance and water treatment services.
• Maintaining Customer Records: Enter, update, organize, and safeguard customer information.
• Invoicing: Prepare and process invoices accurately and assist with related office documentation.
• Office Support: Use computers, phone system and other office technology.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with Managers and Team Members, including those working at other locations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Professional demeanor, helpful attitude, and genuine desire to provide outstanding service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read and write English.
• Ability to perform basic math functions commonly used in a retail office environment.
• Organizational skills, dependability, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Competence with computers, email, and online ordering
• Ability to solve problems, use good judgment and self-control, collaborate with empathy, and take initiative when facing challenges.
• Friendly, energetic, and teachable, with willingness to learn, improve, and adapt quickly to changes.
