Who we're looking forWe're looking for a Senior Energy Analyst with deep knowledge of the German power market to join our Berlin office. You'll be the second person in the office and a senior voice for Gridcog in Germany.
Your main job is to own our German customer relationships. You'll make sure customers model their projects well, get real value from Gridcog and keep choosing us. You'll use your market knowledge and network to make Gridcog a trusted voice in the market, help win new customers and make sure the product works for the target customer group.
What you'll doCustomers (the core of the role)
Own a portfolio of German customer relationships as their main point of contact and trusted advisorLead onboarding and guide customers on best practice modelling of solar, BESS and hybrid projects in GermanyHandle complex technical and market questions, such as ancillary market participation, grid connection constraints, AgNes, and merchant versus contracted revenuesSpot where accounts can grow and work with account management on renewals and expansionKeep our German datasets current, including market prices, network tariffs and project assumptionsSales and marketing
Lead demos and technical conversations with prospects, including senior stakeholders, e.g., partners, investment managers, MDsBuild Gridcog's credibility in Germany and Central Europe through speaking at events and through your professional network, e.g., on LinkedInTranslate regulatory changes and market design developments into clear insight for customersCreate blogs, videos and market commentary on the German marketSpeak and present at industry eventsProduct
Bring German market requirements into product development and make sure they are understood and prioritisedFeed market changes into product direction and feature developmentTest new features against real client use casesWhat it's like being second in the officeMuch of how we operate in Germany is still being built, and you'll often be the one setting it up. There won't always be a playbook. You'll need to make calls with incomplete information, act on them and adjust as you learn. We value moving fast over getting everything perfect, and we'd rather you ship something good and improve it than hold it back.
