As a Team Lead in Festina Life, you will help drive the evolution of our core backend systems and ensure your team’s component develops in step with the product roadmap. About the role Festina Life is expanding our development organization, and we are looking for an experienced Team Lead to support and guide our development teams. Our solutions are centred around complex business logic, asynchronous flows, and long-term maintainability within the life insurance domain, and your role will be to ensure strong technical direction, high-quality engineering practices, and a healthy, collaborative team environment. You will work closely with our business specialists, who bring deep domain knowledge, and help translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions. What you will be doing Ensure continuous improvement of the Festina Life product, focusing on your team’s component and keeping it aligned with the roadmap for new functionality and defect resolution. Provide technical sparring on architecture, asynchronous flows, domain modelling, and backend engineering practices. Work closely with business specialists to understand domain requirements and guide technical solution design. Facilitate knowledge sharing, constructive technical discussions, and a strong engineering culture. Contribute hands-on to solution design, code reviews, and architectural decisions when relevant. What you bring 10+ years of experience in software development, preferably within complex backend systems. Deep understanding of backend architecture, asynchronous flows, domain modelling, and message driven design. Proven ability to mentor and guide developers, both technically and professionally. Experience as Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, Team Lead, Senior Developer, or similar. Strong collaboration skills, especially in working with business specialists to clarify and shape technical direction. Clear communicator with a structured, pragmatic approach to problem solving. Relevant technical education, e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar. Advantageous: experience in financial services, insurance, or other regulated domains.
