Produce Supervisor PAK’nSAVE Rolleston We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Produce Supervisor to join our Produce team. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on ensuring our customers have access to fresh, high-quality produce that is well presented and available throughout the day . You’ll help lead the team to maintain excellent standards across the department, with particular attention to product quality, freshness, stock rotation and presentation . You’ll be someone who takes pride in the department and is confident identifying and addressing quality issues before they impact our customers. This is a full-time position and will include Saturday work , with shifts finishing as late as 10.15pm . Final days and hours will be discussed with the successful applicant. What the role involves: Leading and supporting the Produce team to achieve high standards every day Ensuring freshness and product quality are consistently maintained across the department Regularly checking produce and promptly removing any product that does not meet our quality standards Ensuring correct stock rotation to maintain freshness, minimise waste, and provide our customers with quality products Keeping displays full, fresh, well presented, and appealing to our customers Supervising the team and ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard Coaching, training, and motivating team members Organising workloads and priorities within a busy, fast-paced department Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised work environment Providing excellent customer service and supporting the wider store when required What we’re looking for: Previous experience working in a supermarket Produce department is essential Previous leadership or supervisory experience is essential A strong understanding of produce quality, freshness, rotation and presentation High attention to detail and the ability to identify product that does not meet quality standards Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and delegate tasks Confidence leading, supporting, and motivating a team Excellent communication and problem-solving skills A positive, hands-on leadership style and strong work ethic Physically fit and comfortable working in a busy, physical environment Reliable, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards Availability to work Saturdays and shifts finishing as late as 10.15pm Final days and hours will be discussed with the successful applicant Why join us: PAK’nSAVE Rolleston is a locally owned store where we work hard, support each other, and take pride in providing our customers with great products and great service.
