Introduction Sentence We are looking for you to join our headquarters in Hamburg's HafenCity in full-time (38.5 h/week) on a limited basis of 14 month! Your new job includes As a Category Manager Consumables (m/f/d), you will develop and manage customer- and market-oriented categories for defined locations and markets. In this role, you will derive strategic priorities, implement category and market strategies, and collaborate closely with relevant stakeholders at both HQ and the local retail site. In particular, you will: Evaluate and prioritize category and growth opportunities based on shopper insights, market data, and sound analytics Define SMART category objectives and derive appropriate actions to achieve them Develop and implement category and market strategies to sustainably increase customer traffic, basket size, and sales performance Translate market insights into brand- and product-specific initiatives, particularly with regard to assortment, promotional intensity, pricing, and product placement Analyze and evaluate category performance using defined KPIs and target metrics Derive actionable recommendations and optimization measures from performance data to further develop and strengthen the category Preferred Profile A completed degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a comparable qualification. Initial professional experience in Category Management, Purchasing, or Sales. Strong analytical skills and confidence in working with relevant KPIs and performance metrics. A high level of customer and market orientation combined with strategic thinking. Strong communication skills and enjoyment of collaborating with a variety of stakeholders. Strong conceptual capabilities, as well as the ability to challenge existing ways of thinking and develop innovative solutions.
