Role Details: Business, Location: X-Ray Technology, Scotts Valley Role: Production Technician Reports to: Production Supervisor Key relationships: No reports Primary Purpose: Performs various production processes, which are intricate & complicated in nature and specific to the construction of x-ray tubes, and related products. To manufacture products and components to meet agreed quality, time-scale and cost objectives. Indicative Performance Measures Schedule Adherence Measure : Percentage of production tasks completed on or before scheduled routing time. Purpose : Ensures timely delivery of components and alignment with production plans. Quality Compliance Measure : Number of defects or reworks per 100 units produced. Purpose : Monitors workmanship and adherence to quality standards and procedures. Safety & Compliance Participation Measure : Participation rate in safety audits and timely closure of assigned corrective actions. Purpose : Promotes a safe working environment and compliance with health and safety policies. Flexibility & Team Support Measure : Number of instances technician supports other teams or takes on collateral duties. Purpose : Encourages teamwork, adaptability, and responsiveness to shifting Person Specification – Essential requirements unless stated Education / Qualifications: High School graduate or GED. Relevant prior experience Physical Skills/ Abilities: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often throughout the entire shift. Frequent movement between different workstations and areas within the production facility. Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs regularly. Perform tasks requiring fine motor skills, such as assembling components, operating machinery, and using hand tools. Ability to handle and manipulate small parts with precision. Good vision required for detailed inspection of products and machinery. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and computer screens. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and respirators when necessary. Clear and effective verbal communication skills for collaborating with team members, reporting issues, and following instructions Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch frequently during the shift. Capability to perform repetitive tasks and movements. The actual compensation will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience and other factors permitted by law.
