The Opportunity Sizewell C is one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects, and brilliant communication will be essential to bringing our people with us on the journey. We’re looking for an outstanding Internal Communications Manager who can turn complex, technical and fast moving information into clear, engaging stories that people understand and act upon. Working as part of the Site Internal Communications team, you’ll act as a trusted communications partner to leaders, functions and project teams. You’ll help shape and deliver communications covering everything from workforce experience, culture and safety to construction activity, project milestones, operational change and organisational performance. This is a varied, visible and hands on role for someone who loves finding the story, sharpening the message and creating communications that genuinely connect people to the bigger picture. You’ll be at the heart of a fast paced and constantly evolving project, finding stories, advising stakeholders and shaping communications from the earliest stages. You’ll take complex, technical or sensitive information and turn it into content that is clear, practical and engaging. Whether you’re communicating an important safety message, supporting a major milestone, helping leaders connect with the workforce or celebrating the people delivering the project, your work will help shape how Sizewell C feels, communicates and operates. There are two opportunities available, each supporting a broad portfolio of business priorities. One position will have a stronger focus on day to day site communications and delivery, while the other will support wider site operations and corporate priorities, including safety and workforce communications. The portfolios may continue to evolve as the project grows. What You’ll Be Doing Partnering with leaders, project teams, operational functions and subject matter experts to plan and deliver effective communications Taking a brief, finding the strongest angle and turning it into a clear and compelling story Translating complex, technical, operational or sensitive information into accessible and audience focused content Creating communications plans, briefings, presentations, talking points, campaigns and workforce updates Supporting communications across safety, wellbeing, culture, construction, logistics, milestones and operational change Supporting crisis communications and the communication response to significant incidents, emerging risks and sensitive issues. Advising and constructively challenging stakeholders to improve the clarity, timing and impact of communications Supporting leadership communications, workforce forums, roadshows, engagement sessions, recognition activity and site visits Managing and improving internal channels, including digital platforms, screens, newsletters, briefings and email communications Building strong relationships with contractor communications teams and delivery partners to create consistent messaging across the site Spotting emerging priorities, risks and communications needs early and responding confidently in a fast moving environment Using storytelling to celebrate progress, showcase great work and build pride, connection and belonging across Sizewell C What We're Looking For We're looking for a talented communicator who can take complex or incomplete information and turn it into clear, engaging and impactful communications. You'll bring: Experience in internal communications, corporate communications, employee engagement, stakeholder engagement or a similar communications role Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt your style for different audiences and channels Confidence building relationships with and influencing senior stakeholders The ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment where priorities can change and not every detail is immediately available The ability to see the bigger picture, connecting local activity and priorities to the wider Sizewell C story and helping build a shared sense of purpose across the project A genuinely collaborative approach, with the willingness to lean in, support colleagues and help the whole team succeed. Strong planning, organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities Experience creating communications plans, campaigns and content across a variety of channels Sound judgement, attention to detail and a proactive approach to spotting opportunities and solving problems The ability to build trusted relationships across teams, functions, contractors and delivery partners Internal communications experience is preferred, but we're also keen to hear from candidates with backgrounds in external communications, corporate affairs, employee engagement or stakeholder management who can demonstrate excellent writing skills and strong stakeholder engagement. Experience within infrastructure, construction, energy, government, the public sector or other complex operational environments would be advantageous, as would experience supporting culture, safety, wellbeing, engagement or change initiatives. A formal communications qualification is welcome but not essential. Most importantly, we're looking for someone with outstanding communication skills, strong stakeholder management capabilities and a genuine passion for helping people understand what matters most.
