Join a Growing Supply Chain Team A well-established manufacturing organization is conducting a search for a Buyer to support procurement, inventory management, and vendor relationships within a dynamic production environment.This position is ideal for a detail-oriented purchasing professional who enjoys working with data, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring materials are available to support business operations. The role offers strong visibility across Purchasing, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain, along with opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative organization.
What You'll Do As a Buyer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials and supplies needed to support daily operations. Key Responsibilities:
• Create, process, and manage purchase orders within SAP • Monitor inventory levels and perform purchasing and inventory transactions • Review inventory forecasts and assist with purchasing plans based on business demand • Procure materials, packaging, machine parts, ingredients, and operational supplies • Communicate with vendors regarding order status, deliveries, product availability, and supply concerns • Maintain accurate purchasing records and inventory documentation • Generate and analyze inventory reports using Microsoft Excel • Support forecasting and inventory planning initiatives • Partner closely with Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and Supply Chain teams • Assist leadership with purchasing documentation, reporting, and administrative projects • Ensure purchasing activities are completed accurately and on schedule • Support overall supply chain objectives through effective procurement practices Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, or supply chain Experience creating and managing purchase orders Strong SAP experience in purchasing and inventory management functions Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
• Pivot Tables • VLOOKUPs • Data analysis and reporting Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Comfortable working in a data-driven, highly analytical environment Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting manufacturing, production, or distribution operations • Inventory forecasting and purchasing planning experience • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams • Strong vendor management skills • Bilingual English/Spanish abilities (preferred but not required) • Experience working within multicultural or global organizations Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shakopee, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
