DescriptionAs a Scrum Master, youre passionate about outcomes and supporting a development team thats modernizing and creating efficiency in critical projects. You know the importance of Agile best practices and how to combat challenges early to get work done. We need a Scrum Master like you to create solutions thatll support the next generation of advanced public health information technology solutions. On our team, youll apply your functional knowledge to coach a small development team to focus on sprint goals, ensuring the project is successfully progressed. Youll apply basic Scrum principles and concepts to resolve routine problems. Using Agile tools, youll strengthen sustainable process improvements to help your team accomplish Program Increment Objectives and Features.In this role, youll directly impact the public health environment by working alongside our clients to deliver impactful solutions. This is an opportunity to grow your experience in IT project management and Agile project management while developing and contributing to a variety of project solutions that will ensure success for the delivery of software products in support of public health. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and road mapping sessions. Coach and support development teams in applying Scrum and Agile practices to achieve sprint goals and Program Increment Objectives. Track team progress, identify and remove impediments, and proactively address risks and challenges impacting delivery. Use Agile project management tools, including JIRA, to manage sprints, backlogs, monitor progress, and improve team visibility. Drive continuous process improvement by analyzing team performance, strengthening Agile practices, and implementing sustainable delivery improvements.Top Skills Details 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master serving Agile teams Experience with Agile software project management tools, including JIRA and Confluence Experience with facilitating daily stand-up calls, backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, road map development and requirements sessions Experience with release planning Knowledge of commercial-off-the-shelf software development and delivery processes Ability to work independently or with minimal direction Bachelor's degree Certified Scrum Master (CSM) CertificationAdditional Skills & QualificationsNice If You Have: Experience with User Acceptance Testing Experience with user experience design Experience supporting public health projects Ability to coach a team to better outcomes using process improvement Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills Possession of excellent collaboration skills Possession of excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills Certified SAFe Practitioner or SAFe Agilist CertificationJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $53.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
