SQL Developer - Data Migration Project Overview We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer to support a large-scale data migration project. The ideal candidate will help transform, validate, and prepare data from a legacy SQL database for import into a new enterprise system.This role will work closely with business and technical teams to develop SQL views, implement data mapping requirements, create validation queries, and support testing throughout the migration process. Key Responsibilities
• Review and enhance existing SQL views and migration logic • Develop new SQL views and data transformation queries • Implement business mapping and conversion requirements • Create validation and data quality checks • Generate datasets and CSV files for review and import • Investigate and resolve data issues and rejected records • Support testing and data reconciliation activities • Document data mappings, transformations, and validation processes Required Skills SQL Development
• Strong SQL and SQL Server experience • Complex joins, CTEs, and subqueries • CASE statements and data transformations • Data cleansing and troubleshooting • Data type conversions and handling NULL values • Aggregations and duplicate identification Data Migration Experience
• Source-to-target data mapping • Data conversion and transformation • Crosswalk and lookup mapping rules • Exception reporting and data quality validation • Experience supporting system migration projects CSV & Excel
• Exporting data from SQL queries and views • Creating and validating CSV files • Working with Excel for data review and analysis • Formatting data according to import specifications Data Validation
• Identifying missing or invalid data • Detecting duplicate records • Creating reconciliation and audit queries • Verifying record counts and data accuracy Qualifications
• 2-6 years of SQL development experience • Experience with SQL Server • Previous data conversion, migration, or integration experience • Strong Excel and CSV file management skills • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Preferred
• Experience working with Student Information Systems (SIS) • Higher education industry experience • Experience supporting enterprise system implementations Top Skills

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
