About this role
Position Overview Responsible for managing first mortgage loan applications from initial submission through closing. This role ensures loans are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all federal, state, investor, and credit union regulations. The Mortgage Processor serves as a key point of contact for members, realtors, and other stakeholders while facilitating a smooth and timely loan closing experience. Key Responsibilities
• Process first mortgage loan applications from application through closing. • Review loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with lending guidelines. • Analyze Automated Underwriting System (AUS) findings and determine required loan conditions and supporting documentation. • Collect, review, and verify income, asset, employment, and credit documentation. • Prepare and deliver required loan disclosures in accordance with federal and state regulations. • Maintain communication with members, realtors, and sellers regarding loan status and requirements. • Review appraisals and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with investor and organizational standards. • Resolve documentation deficiencies, underwriting conditions, and processing issues in a timely manner. • Ensure all loans meet applicable regulatory, investor, and internal policy requirements prior to closing. • Provide guidance to members regarding mortgage products, financing options, and the loan process. • Minimum of 2 years of mortgage processing, mortgage closing, banking, lending, or financial services experience. • Experience working with Conventional, FHA, VA, and other nationwide loan programs. • Knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines, regulations, and loan documentation requirements. • Experience reviewing credit, income, assets, and appraisal documentation. • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with members and business partners. Technical Skills
• Proficiency with mortgage processing systems such as Unifi, AUS, and UAD. • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and productivity. Ideal Candidate

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.44 - $18.44/hr.
