Job Title: Assistant Project ManagerJob DescriptionThis position involves working with a specialized company that focuses on both new construction and interior renovations, including embassies, multi-family, commercial, and interior fit-outs. The Assistant Project Manager ensures that projects are profitable and delivered on time, while building and maintaining excellent relationships with owners, vendors, and subcontractors. Responsibilities • Liaise between owners, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth communication. • Ensure and confirm that trade Scopes of Work (SOWs) are clear and accurate. • Accurately forecast project profitability. • Coordinate directly with superintendents on manpower needs, SOWs, and work sequences. • Produce project schedules. • Administer contract obligations effectively. • Ensure subcontractors are paid on time for monies earned. • Coach and mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers. Essential Skills • Experience in project management and construction management, specifically in renovation and interior renovation. • RFI, Submittal, and Change Order experience. • Proficiency in MS Office Programs and Building Connected Pro Software. • Experience in commercial construction. Additional Skills & Qualifications • 5 to 10 years of experience in the field. • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office software. Work EnvironmentThe role is set in a fast-paced construction environment, which is deadline-oriented and requires a high level of ownership for error. The culture in the office and on-site is collaborative and team-focused, with everyone working closely together to ensure deadlines are met with high-quality work. The position requires being on-site and in the office as needed. The company offers a family/team feel, with opportunities to grow and develop in the industry. Benefits include 2 weeks of PTO, medical and dental coverage, a $300 car allowance, and a $60 cell phone reimbursement. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Falls Church, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
