Two Gates Primary School is seeking to appoint a reliable, practical and hardworking Site Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-presented school environment and who enjoys a varied, hands-on role.

About the role

Working 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day, the Site Assitant candidate will support the day-to-day running and maintenance of the school site, helping to ensure that the premises, grounds and facilities are safe, secure and well maintained.

Duties will include:

Carrying out general maintenance and repairs around the school siteSupporting the cleaning, upkeep and presentation of the school buildings and groundsUndertaking routine checks and reporting any issues or defectsSetting up and moving furniture and equipment as requiredSupporting the opening and closing of the school site and ensuring the premises are secureAssisting with deliveries and contractors when requiredSupporting health and safety procedures and maintaining a safe environment for pupils, staff and visitorsResponding positively to the day-to-day needs of the school and carrying out other reasonable duties as requiredAbout you

We are looking for someone who:Is practical, reliable and takes pride in their workHas good general maintenance and DIY skillsIs able to work independently and use their initiativeHas good organisational skills and a flexible approachIs able to communicate effectively with staff, pupils, visitors and contractorsUnderstands the importance of health and safety within a school environmentIs approachable, helpful and committed to supporting the wider school communityPrevious experience of working in a school or similar environment would be desirable, although a positive attitude, practical skills and a willingness to learn are equally important.
