Woodcot Primary School is seeking an Assistant Teacher who is passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Our new Resource Provision - The Beacon - will open to pupils in January 2027, so this is an exciting time to join the school and help shape the provision on offer to pupils at Woodcot. You will work with pupils individually and in small groups, supporting them to access the curriculum either within the Beacon or alongside their peers in the classroom.
About the role
Work under the direction of the SENCo and Lead Assistant Teacher to support pupils with SEMH needs, individually and in small groups.Deliver planned interventions and support programmes that help pupils access the curriculum, both within the Beacon and alongside their peers in mainstream classes.Build trusted, positive relationships with pupils, helping them to regulate their emotions and develop strategies for self-management.Monitor and record pupil progress and wellbeing, feeding back to the SENCo and class teachers.Work as part of a small, close-knit team to help establish and shape the new provision.The ideal candidate will possess
