We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning, providing both general and targeted assistance to pupils and staff. You will operate under the direction, guidance, and supervision of the classroom teacher to help create a positive and effective learning environment.
Key responsibilities:
Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.Implement planned learning activities/teacher programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils’ responses as appropriate.Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs .Assist with the implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff.
Pay range: NJC SCP 8 - 12 £21,406.80 - £22,822.90 - 32.5 hours a week, 39 weeks a year
FTE: NJC SCP 8 - 12 £27,709.00 - £29,542.00 - 37 hours a week, 52 weeks a year
Qualifications and Skills:
GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalentTA2 qualification or equivalent or relevant experienceRelevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a school setting and the relevant age rangeAbility to work with an individual child or with a group What are we about?
