Purpose
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join our dedicated English department. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful and ambitious department.
The successful candidate will be an excellent practitioner with sound subject knowledge and a love for teaching English. This could be an ideal role for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to further their career in an ambitious and creative environment.
Principle Accountabilities:
To achieve success, the post holder will:
Plan, prepare and deliver high quality lessons, that inspire, challenge and engage pupilsCreate a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment where all pupils can achieve their potential.Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress, using assessment information to inform teaching.Adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with SEND and disadvantaged pupils.Work collaboratively with colleagues to share good practice and improve outcomes for pupils.Undertake pastoral responsibilities and contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities, educational visits, events and undertake the role of base tutor.Other:
Enhanced DBS clearance (process lead by the Trust). Ability to work accurately with attention to detail. To display integrity and confidentiality. Ability to work on own initiative and organise own workload. To be able to prioritise effectively.
