Design, implement and deploy enhancements to HSBC's electronic trading platform Support and optimize what you and your colleagues have built Collaborate with software engineers in other time zones Reduce toil and repetitive tasks by automation Solid hands-on experience with software engineering of low-latency or real-time systems Excellent Java proficiency required, including concurrency, tuning, and memory management Good command of Linux/UNIX command line interface Using agentic AI for software maintenance Experience with container runtimes (Podman, Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) Familiarity with message passing systems such as Kafka and Aeron Practicing data-driven optimizations (profiling, metrics collection) Working-knowledge of CI/CD techniques
