Talent Acquisition Analyst III
Job Description: United States Steel is seeking a Talent Acquisition Analyst to support recruiting for Tubular operations. This role is responsible for attracting, engaging, and hiring high-quality talent for salaried plant-based positions, including roles in operations leadership, process control, quality assurance, and related technical functions. The position combines hands-on recruiting execution with strategic support for talent acquisition initiatives, process improvement, and functional excellence. This role can be based in Fairfield, AL or Houston, TX.
Responsibilities: • Source candidates: Identify and engage qualified candidates through job boards, social media, professional networking sites, referrals, direct outreach, and other sourcing channels. • Screen candidates: Review resumes, applications, and related materials to assess qualifications and fit. Conduct initial interviews to evaluate skills, experience, and alignment with role requirements. • Manage the recruitment process: Coordinate interviews, partner with hiring managers, communicate effectively with candidates, and provide timely updates throughout the hiring process. • Build talent pipelines: Develop and maintain candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs. Cultivate relationships with prospective candidates to support long-term engagement. • Support employer branding: Promote the organization as an employer of choice through recruiting events, career fairs, professional associations, college alumni events, and related outreach activities. • Maintain documentation: Accurately document candidate interactions, interview feedback, recruitment activity, and hiring decisions in accordance with internal processes. • Drive continuous improvement: Evaluate recruiting strategies, review recruitment metrics, gather feedback, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and candidate quality. • Enhance the candidate experience: Provide timely, professional communication and support to candidates throughout the recruitment process, regardless of hiring outcome. • Utilize recruiting technology: Leverage applicant tracking systems, job boards, sourcing platforms, and related tools to streamline recruiting activities and improve process efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. • Experience: Seven or more years of recruiting experience; manufacturing experience preferred. • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage candidates and stakeholders professionally. • Relationship building: Ability to build rapport and establish effective relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and internal partners. • Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple candidates, requisitions, and priorities simultaneously. • Attention to detail: High level of accuracy when reviewing candidate materials, scheduling interviews, documenting activity, and supporting recruitment processes. • Problem solving: Ability to identify challenges quickly and implement practical solutions in a fast-paced recruiting environment. • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to changing business needs, hiring priorities, and recruitment strategies. • Ethics and integrity: Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, acting with professionalism, and upholding ethical standards throughout the hiring process.
