Main duties of the job
This is an opportunity for a band 6 physiotherapist or a physiotherapist to move into a developmental post working as a band 6 or working from a Band 5 and developing into a Band 6 role. It is your chance to make a real difference to people living with dementia and complex, enduring mental health conditions within Northumberland.
You will be a skilled and knowledgeable team player who is able to think holistically and creatively to deliver specialist assessment and management and physiotherapy service provision for service users who have a variety of complex physiotherapy needs, diverse presentations and a range of mental health, alongside our multi-disciplinary team.
Alongside the clinical leads and other colleagues, you will contribute to the service development and implementation of evidence-based core pathways across community services whilst contributing to the inpatient team from this perspective. Using research, innovation, and quality improvement.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications Essential
Recognised Physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent. State registration with HCPC. Further relevant post qualifying training.
Desirable
Registered member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
Knowledge and Experience Essential
Awareness and understanding of professional accountability, HCPC and CSP standards and other local and national initiatives Proven track record of post registration clinical experience relevant to the post. Awareness and understanding of professional accountability, HCPC and CSP standards and other local and national initiatives. Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team Experience of providing Physiotherapy services.
Desirable
Clinical experience relevant to this role Knowledge of involving service users/ carers in evaluation/planning and monitoring of services Knowledge of audit, research and evaluation
Skills and Competencies Essential
