Band 7 Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist , Neurorehabilitation,
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic , experienced Occupational Therapist to provide clinical leadership across our Neurorehabilitation bed base and Early Supported Discharge service across Doncaster and Rotherham
Main duties of the job
As Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist you will work alongside the ward manager and other clinical leads to provide clinical leadership across the bed base and Early Supported Discharge Service. You will help with the triage, planning, prioritisation and review of referrals into the services, problem solving with the team any potential bottlenecks or issues with meeting service delivery targets to optimise patient flow.

Knowledge Essential
Occupational therapy assessment and intervention principals and practice Up to date professional portfolio which will demonstrate reflective practice and evidence of on-going professional development/education Extensive experience of neurological occupational therapy Knowledge or risk management and health and safety
Desirable
Knowledge of organisational structures and relationships in health and social care Knowledge of counselling/debriefing techniques Experience of leading a multi-disciplinary team
Qualifications Essential
Relevant professional qualification HCPC registration Post graduate education to master's level or equivalent relevant to clinical speciality

Leadership qualification Mentoring/coaching experience/qualification

Demonstrable post registration of clinical practice within Occupational Therapy practice Experience working in an NHS multi-professional setting Participation in clinical audit and evaluating the outcomes of a service Working to demonstrate autonomy in developing treatment plans, assessment, discharge planning for patients with complex care needs Experience of supervising others
