About the Role <strong>About the Role</strong><br>Orchard Community Care is opening a specialist residential service in Rosslare supporting adults with acquired brain injury (ABI), physical and sensory disabilities, and neurodegenerative conditions.<br>We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team and play a key role in developing a service centred on dignity, rehabilitation, independence and person-centred care.<br>This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new service from the outset, working closely with residents, families and a multidisciplinary team to support people to live meaningful and fulfilling lives within their community.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br><ul><li>Provide and oversee high-quality nursing care for residents with complex neurological, physical and sensory needs.</li><li>Complete nursing assessments and develop, implement and review individualised care plans.</li><li>Administer medication and provide clinical interventions in line with NMBI and Orchard policies.</li><li>Monitor residents' health and wellbeing and respond appropriately to changes in presentation.</li><li>Work collaboratively with families and the multidisciplinary team, including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech & Language Therapy.</li><li>Promote independence, rehabilitation, community inclusion and quality of life.</li><li>Provide clinical leadership, guidance and support to Care Assistants.</li><li>Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to quality assurance, audits and HIQA compliance.</li><li>Participate in staff meetings, training and on-call/out-of-hours arrangements as required.</li></ul>The service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with flexible working options.<br><strong> </strong><br><strong>Essential Requirements</strong><br><ul><li>Current NMBI registration as a Registered Nurse.</li><li>Minimum 2 years' post-registration nursing experience.</li><li>Experience in neurological, rehabilitation, acquired brain injury, physical disability or long-term care is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.</li><li>Strong clinical assessment, care planning and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.</li><li>A person-centred and rehabilitative approach to care.</li><li>Working knowledge of HIQA standards and relevant regulations.</li><li>Full clean driving licence and eligibility to drive in Ireland.</li><li>Eligibility to live and work in Ireland without restriction.</li></ul>A relevant postgraduate qualification or experience in ABI, rehabilitation or neurological care would be an advantage<br>IND<br><br> Benefits to working with Company <ul><li>Comprehensive induction process</li><li>Extensive training programme</li><li>On-going mentoring and support</li><li>Continuous Professional Development support</li><li>Career progression opportunities</li><li>Orchard Values Champion Award</li><li>Refer a friend initiative</li><li>Working in a well-resourced environment with access to the multidisciplinary team</li><li>Employee Assistance Programme for staff and their families</li></ul>
