Your mission <p><strong>Clinical Services</strong></p><ul><li><p>Provide on-site Occupational Health service including employee consultation, first aid and emergency treatment.</p></li><li><p>Conduct pre-hire medical assessments to evaluate fitness for work and ensure OH compliance.</p></li><li><p>Oversee medical surveillance program in line with Abbott and regulatory requirements.</p></li><li><p>Liaise with Occupational Health Physician for internal / external medical assessments as required.</p></li><li><p>Manage absenteeism reviews and timely referrals to the Occupational Health Physician, review recommendations with Managers and HR.</p></li><li><p>Implement case management plans and interventions to achieve timely outcomes.</p></li><li><p>Support occupational illness and injury management, including incident investigations.</p></li><li><p>Support the on-site clinical testing by providing a phlebotomy service.</p></li><li><p>Conduct Drug and Alcohol testing in accordance with the site procedure.</p></li><li><p>Oversee management of medical records in accordance with Abbott and regulatory requirements.</p></li><li><p>Co-ordinate the First Aid and AED programme.</p></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Compliance & EHS Program Management</strong></p><ul><li><p>Complete gap assessments of the OH program to ensure compliance with Abbott and regulatory requirements.</p></li><li><p>Maintain and implement OH procedures and programs aligned with Abbott, OSHA, and HSA standards.</p></li><li><p>Lead and support EHS projects using problem-solving tools to ensure legal compliance and business benefits.</p></li><li><p>Monitor and manage OH KPIs; define annual objectives and provide periodic status updates.</p></li><li><p>Contribute to OH risk assessments such as: ergonomic, biological, reproductive, chemical and make recommendations to control hazards.</p></li><li><p>Support and lead internal assessments, audits, and inspections including third-party and corporate reviews.</p></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Employee Wellness & Engagement</strong></p><ul><li><p>Advise employees on work-related issues and wellness initiatives.</p></li><li><p>Organize and support health awareness programs including flu vaccinations, cancer prevention and mental health campaigns.</p></li><li><p>Act as company representative for employee health and well-being initiatives.</p></li><li><p>Ensure effective execution and sustainability of employee wellness programs through education and support.</p></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Communication & Leadership</strong></p><ul><li><p>Advise senior leaders on strategic Occupational Health priorities, implement improvements that enhance employee wellbeing, and contribute to budget planning and resource allocation.</p></li><li><p>Lead the execution of Occupational Health strategy by defining annual goals, implementing targeted initiatives, conducting assessments and driving continuous improvement.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with functional support teams providing advice on all elements of the OH management system.</p></li><li><p>Correspond with third parties including corporate teams, contractors, and agencies for reporting and audits.</p></li><li><p>Develop and deliver training sessions on topics such as industrial hygiene, ergonomics and biosafety.</p></li></ul><p>This list of responsibilities may evolve based on operational needs, and employees are expected to remain adaptable and flexible as required.<br><br><br><br></p> Your profile <ul><li>Third Level Qualification in nursing or relevant medical qualification.</li><li>Ideally previous relevant experience in Occupational Health.</li><li>Good Communication & interpersonal skills are essential. This person will have to communicate with all Abbott employees/contractors. There is also requirement to communicate and work effectively with Div and Corporate representative and external bodies in the medical and safety field.</li><li>Confidentiality is essential: Tact, diplomacy, sensitivity required in dealing with and counselling on health/safety matters.</li><li>Management and/or Leadership experience</li></ul><br>
