Job summary Are you ready to take the next step in your career and help shape the future of specialist pharmacy services? Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated Highly Advanced Pharmaceutical Scientist to provide leadership across our aseptic services, supporting the delivery of around 80,000 aseptic preparations each year, including complex biotherapy and clinical trial products. Working within Aseptic Services, you will play a key role in maintaining and developing our pharmaceutical quality systems, ensuring compliance with GMP standards, driving service innovation, and delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

You will work closely with senior clinical and operational colleagues, lead and develop a highly skilled workforce, influence strategic decisions, and help shape the future of aseptic services across one of the UK's largest teaching hospital trusts. Main duties of the job We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a passion for quality, leadership and service improvement. You should be comfortable working in a busy environment and be able to build strong relationships across teams, all while helping us shape the future of aseptic services at LTHT.
You'll bring:
Significant experience working within a GMP and quality assurance environment. Expert knowledge of pharmaceutical technology and aseptic services. A passion for quality, patient safety and continuous improvement. Strong leadership skills with experience developing and supporting teams. The ability to influence, collaborate and build relationships with a wide range of clinical and operational colleagues. Excellent problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions in complex situations. Experience managing change, service development or introducing new ways of working. Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly. A proactive and adaptable approach, with the drive to lead innovation and improvement. A commitment to developing yourself and others through learning, coaching and professional development.
