Job summary
Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated Temporary Staffing Operational Lead to support the delivery of a safe, effective and compliant temporary staffing service across the Trust. This is a pivotal leadership role within our evolving Temporary Staffing service, focused on operational excellence, workforce sustainability and value for money.
Main duties of the job
As the Temporary Staffing Operational Lead, you will:
Provide day-to-day operational leadership for the Trust's Temporary Staffing team across Bank and Agency staffing services. Support the delivery of a safe, compliant and efficient workforce supply model, helping services maintain safe staffing levels and continuity of care. Lead initiatives to increase bank utilisation, reduce agency reliance and improve performance against key staffing KPIs. Provide expert advice and support to managers on temporary staffing, workforce planning, agency controls and compliance requirements. Oversee workforce systems, operational reporting, governance processes and supplier relationships to ensure high standards of service delivery. Support the Temporary Staffing Manager in delivering service improvement, transformation and strategic workforce initiatives.

Person Specification
Temp Staffing experience Essential
Substantial experience managing temporary staffing, workforce services or HR operations, including leading and developing teams.
Employment processes Essential
Strong knowledge of temporary staffing employment processes, recruitment and employment legislation, including NHS Employment Check Standards, contracts and workforce systems.
Stakeholder management Essential
Experience of managing complex stakeholder relationships and delivering service performance against KPIs, SLAs and governance requirements.
