MnSCU Academic Professional 1 Bargaining Unit / Union: 214: Minnesota Association of Professional Employees City: White Bear Lake FLSA: Non Job Exempt Full Time / Part Time: Full time Employment Condition: Unclassified - Limited Academic (Fixed Term) Salary Range: $24.40 - $35.30 Job Description Position Purpose Primary responsibilities for this position is to detect, prevent, mitigate, manage and resolve potential fraudulent student activity across all divisions of the college under limited supervision. Coordinate activity with Admissions, Records, Financial Aid, Business Office, faculty and IT to prevent fraud. Provide general financial aid support to students in person, by phone, by email and by appointment. Support the needs of our students and the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $24.40 - $35.30/hour. (DOQ – Salary Placement will be done at time of hire.)

Minimum Qualifications

• Two or more years of professional experience related to higher education. • Demonstrated ability to communicate and explain complex information. • Knowledge of financial aid rules and regulations and the ability to interpret and understand new rules, regulations and statute. • Computer skills sufficient to create word processing documents, spreadsheets, collect data, and create reports. • Experience with records management software. • Detail oriented and the ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously. • Experience with and commitment to working with diverse and underrepresented populations.

Preferred Qualification

• Experience with ISRS, ImageNow, and Microsoft Office software. • Three or more years of experience in higher education setting; preferably financial aid. • Expert knowledge of financial aid rules and regulations.

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable bargaining unit agreement or personnel plan.
