A Day in the Life Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) is a core Medtronic business focused on technologies that diagnose, monitor, and treat cardiac rhythm disorders and heart failure. The portfolio includes implantable cardiac monitors, pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators, cardiac resynchronization therapy devices, and remote monitoring solutions. The CRM team works closely with healthcare professionals to support patient care through clinical expertise, technical support, education, and technology adoption.
As a Technical Consultant within the CRM business, you will support hospitals and healthcare professionals across Antwerp, Limburg, and Flemish Brabant. This is a remote field-based position requiring regular customer visits and close collaboration with Account Managers, Clinical Specialists, Marketing, and Business Operations teams. Domestic travel of up to 90% is expected.As a Technical Consultant, you will serve as the clinical and technical expert for the CRM portfolio within your assigned territory. You will partner with healthcare professionals to support device implantation, follow-up care, troubleshooting, and education while helping customers maximize the clinical value of Medtronic technologies.
Primary Responsibilities
• Provide clinical and technical support for CRM devices during implants, follow-up procedures, and troubleshooting activities. • Develop and maintain relationships with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, nurses, technicians, and other hospital stakeholders. • Deliver product training and education programs to healthcare professionals and internal colleagues. • Troubleshoot device performance and clinical cases both inside and outside procedure rooms. • Collaborate with Account Managers to identify customer needs and support business growth opportunities. • Support the introduction and adoption of new CRM technologies within assigned accounts. • Coordinate with Sales Representatives and Business Operations teams on inventory, consignment stock, and fixed asset management. • Maintain current knowledge of CRM products, therapies, clinical evidence, and competitive developments.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree OR Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Technical Nursing, or a related healthcare or engineering discipline with 3+ years of experience in a clinical, technical, or field-based MedTech role. • Min. 3 years experience' supporting healthcare professionals in cardiology, cardiac rhythm management, electrophysiology, or a related clinical specialty. • Fluent Dutch and English language skills, both written and verbal. • Experience delivering technical product training and customer education. • Ability to travel extensively within Belgium, up to 90% of working time.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting implantable cardiac devices, cardiac rhythm management therapies, or electrophysiology procedures. • Fluency in French. • Experience troubleshooting medical device technologies in a clinical environment. • Knowledge of hospital inventory management, consignment stock processes, or fixed asset management. • Experience collaborating with commercial teams to support product adoption and customer growth.
