Visa Information: TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Position Description: Texas Tech Physicians Endocrinology and Diabetes Center of Excellence is staffed with highly equipped professionals who have specific experience treating metabolic disorders in west Texas. Our providers are some of the most specialized in the region. Staffed with leading educators and researchers, our clinic strives to access effective treatment and reduce risks for patients with a variety of complications. We strive to help individuals with type 1 and type 2 diabetes in the management of their condition and the prevention of issues that can negatively affect their livelihood. From blood pressure complications to thyroid disorders, our endocrinologists deliver excellence in a wide range of specializations.
We are expanding our Faculty team and looking for an Endocrinologist that is seeking to provide patient-centered quality care and participate in the training of our Endocrinology Fellows. This will be a full-time, primarily outpatient focused role in our clinic while providing lectures and training to support our mature Fellowship program.
Major/Essential Functions: • Evaluate patients through obtaining medical history and evaluating patient symptoms; • Orders studies, test and ancillary services; • Prescribes medications, hormone replacement therapies and lifestyle adjustments for treatment plans; • Provides ongoing care for diabetes, thyroid diseases, osteoporosis, PCOS, etc.; • Coordinates care by working with other healthcare professionals as needed; • Documents all services in patient medical record; • Participates in quality improvement and other patient care programs; • Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures; and • Participate in bedside teaching and lectures for fellows, residents and medical students.
Required Qualifications: • MD/DO or equivalent; • Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency; • Completion of, or in the process of completing, an Endocrinology Fellowship; and • Ability to obtain a Texas Medical License. • Foreign Medical Graduates Only: ECFMG Certification OR Equivalency Certification.

Pay Statement: Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
