Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support civil construction projects within the utility industry. This role will assist with project planning, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and day-to-day project coordination to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
The ideal candidate is eager to build a career in construction management, possesses strong organizational skills, and can effectively communicate with project teams, subcontractors, clients, and field personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Project Managers with planning, execution, and closeout of utility construction projects.
Support project estimating, budgeting, and cost tracking activities.
Coordinate schedules, resources, permits, and project documentation.
Monitor project progress and help identify and resolve issues affecting schedule or budget.
Work closely with field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
Maintain accurate records, reports, contracts, and change orders.
Ensure compliance with company safety standards and project specifications.
Participate in site visits and travel as required to support ongoing projects.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities: Qualifications
Experience in construction, utility operations, project coordination, estimating, or related fields preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software is a plus.
Software’s used (can be taught if not familiar): Onscreen Takeoff, Procore, Excel, Google Earth
Valid driver's license required.
Willingness to travel as needed.
