Deli CookLocation: Save More Food Market – Minocqua, Wisconsin
Save More Food Market is seeking a dependable Cook to join the Deli Department at our Minocqua location.
This position is responsible for cooking and preparing fresh meals, entrées, side dishes, soups, sandwiches, salads, and other ready-to-eat foods for our customers.
ResponsibilitiesCook and prepare entrées, side dishes, soups, sandwiches, salads, and other prepared foodsFollow established recipes, cooking procedures, and portion standardsPrepare products for the hot case, cold case, and grab-and-go areaOperate ovens, fryers, grills, slicers, and other food-preparation equipmentMonitor cooking and holding temperatures to ensure food safety and qualityEnsure food meets our standards for taste, appearance, freshness, and consistencyPackage, label, price, and stock prepared foodsRotate ingredients and finished products using proper date proceduresMaintain appropriate production levels while minimizing wasteKeep cooking areas, equipment, utensils, coolers, and floors clean and sanitaryFollow all food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety proceduresAssist customers and provide friendly, helpful serviceHelp prepare catering orders, holiday meals, and other special orders when neededQualificationsPrevious cooking, restaurant, deli, catering, or food-service experience is preferredBasic knowledge of cooking methods and safe food-handling practicesAbility to follow recipes and produce consistent resultsStrong attention to food quality, cleanliness, and presentationDependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a teamAbility to stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 50 poundsMust be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as scheduledWhat We’re Looking ForThe right candidate enjoys cooking, takes pride in preparing quality food, and can work efficiently in a busy environment.
