Save More Marketplace in Minocqua is seeking an energetic, hands-on Customer Service Manager to lead our Front End, strengthen the guest experience, and own the recruiting process for our entire store.
This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming, well-run shopping environment. The Customer Service Manager will lead and develop the Front End team, respond to customer needs, maintain strong service standards, and ensure customers receive friendly, efficient service during every visit. This individual will also oversee storewide recruiting, helping each department attract, select, and onboard dependable employees.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer and Front-End LeadershipLead the daily operation of the Front End and customer-service areasCreate a welcoming, friendly, and efficient experience for every customerSet clear service expectations and coach employees to consistently meet themMaintain a visible leadership presence at the Front End and throughout the storeRespond to customer questions, concerns, and service issues professionallyMonitor checkout flow and adjust staffing based on customer traffic and business needsSupervise, train, schedule, coach, and develop Front End employeesCoordinate breaks, call-in coverage, and daily Front End assignmentsOversee cash-handling procedures, register accountability, refunds, and other Front End controlsMaintain clean, organized, and properly staffed checkout and customer-service areasRecognize strong employee performance and address service or performance concerns promptlySupport opening, closing, and Manager-on-Duty responsibilities as scheduledAssist with customer incidents, staffing challenges, and other immediate store needsStorewide Recruiting and OnboardingOwn and manage the recruiting process for all store departmentsPartner with department managers to identify staffing needs and prioritize open positionsCreate and maintain job postings across appropriate recruiting platformsReview applications and conduct initial candidate screeningsCoordinate and participate in interviews with department managersMaintain timely and professional communication with candidates throughout the hiring processHelp evaluate candidates and ensure hiring decisions meet the needs and standards of the storeCoordinate job offers, pre-employment requirements, hiring documentation, and onboardingEnsure new employees receive an organized and welcoming introduction to Save MoreTrack open positions, candidate progress, and hiring resultsDevelop recruiting strategies that create a dependable pipeline of qualified applicantsPromote Save More as a positive place to work within the local communityQualificationsA minimum of two years of management or supervisory experience in a corporate or chain grocery retail environment is required; three or more years is preferredDemonstrated experience leading employees and delivering a strong customer experienceExperience with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, or onboarding employees is strongly preferredStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsAbility to build positive relationships with customers, candidates, employees, and department leadersAbility to provide clear direction, coach employees, and hold the team accountableSound judgment and the ability to remain professional in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to service and operational standardsComfortable using scheduling, hiring, and other workplace technologySchedule RequirementsThis position requires open availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business. Candidates must be able to work a flexible management schedule and provide leadership during different days and times throughout the week.
Physical RequirementsThis position requires extended periods of standing and walking, frequent movement throughout the store, and the ability to occasionally lift or move merchandise and supplies.
