We are currently looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join one of our clients - a company operating in the luxury travel & hospitality space, managing an exclusive collection of premium properties across the Mediterranean.
Project Description
Our client's engineering team builds and maintains the internal tools that power the client-matching, sales, and operations workflows behind their business. The stack is Ruby on Rails + PostgreSQL (hosted on AWS) alongside Next.js, with a trunk-based repo, CI/CD, and multiple deploys per day. This role reports to the Lead Test Automation Engineer and will be a central, hands-on position covering both manual and automated testing.
Role is based in Wrocław, Poland.
What you'll do
Design, develop, and maintain robust end-to-end test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScriptWrite and execute automated test scripts covering functional, regression, and integration scenariosEstablish and document QA practices, procedures, and standards scaled to the organisationCollaborate closely with developers to investigate, analyse, and resolve defects, and drive automation testing best practicesContribute to story planning and definition of acceptance criteria within Scrum ceremoniesTrack, analyse, and report on software quality metrics across sprints and releasesAct as a key point of escalation for software quality issues, driving resolution across the teamRecommend and implement improvements to enhance software quality and user experienceKeep current with industry trends and automation tooling, bringing learnings back to the teamWhat we are looking for
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in test automation, with strong proficiency in Playwright and TypeScriptDeep understanding of testing methodologies: functional, regression, UAT, system integration, exploratoryProven track record designing and building test automation frameworks from the ground upDemonstrable experience leveraging AI coding agents, or genuine enthusiasm to adopt and master them quicklySolid knowledge of git and version control practices in a team environmentStrong understanding of the DOM and how to write reliable, maintainable locator strategiesExperience with defect tracking tools (e.g. Jira) and test management tools (e.g. TestRail)Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiencesExperience with usability and accessibility testingExperienced working within Agile/Scrum teamsEnglish proficiency Friendly, supportive, positive, can-do attitudeNice to have
