About the role: The Space Manager is an hourly, part-time position responsible for upkeep of Ascent Wellness Program campus locations in Bay View and downtown Milwaukee, including cleaning, organization, plant care, supply runs, and general space maintenance to support a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Laundry (on-site): washing, drying, and folding towels, blankets, and other textiles as often as needed.
• Trash removal: Dispose of recycling and compost into outdoor dumpsters.
• Supply stocking and refill: Keep all bathrooms, gyms, meeting rooms, kitchens, and other spaces stocked and refilled with proper cleaning supplies, paper towels, and toiletries.
• Ensure safe and sanitary storage of products.
• Plant care: Regularly water and provide general care to maintain the health of indoor plants.
• Cleaning and disinfecting: Regularly clean and disinfect commonly used surfaces throughout the building, such as tables, desks, counters, doorknobs, light switches, etc.
• Occasionally deep clean equipment and spaces as needed/when instructed.
• Supply runs: Drive to nearby stores using a personal vehicle to purchase necessary grocery items and other supplies as instructed.
• General maintenance: Keep all public and shared spaces neat and tidy.
• Contribute to safety and care of physical spaces by reporting safety concerns or needed repairs to the Executive Director.
• Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality requirements and best practices per HIPAA laws and AWP policy at all times, including within email, videoconference, phone, text message, and in-person communication.
• Read, acknowledge, and adhere to all company policies.
• Other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
• Previous related work experience in cleaning, maintenance, or office management desired.
• Previous experience working alone without supervision is preferred.
• Ability to safely and consistently perform the physical demands of the job (see Physical Requirements below).
• Access to a working vehicle and valid driver’s license required.
• Above-average time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work alone/ independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Attention to detail.

• Lift, move, and carry items weighing up to 42 pounds (such as water cooler jugs, trash bags, and shopping bags).
• Stamina: ability to carry out essential functions for the entire shift without exhaustion.
• The noise level in the work environment for this position is typically low to moderate.
Hours and pay:
• 10-15 hours per week with a flexible schedule as mutually agreed upon between employee and supervisor.
• Starts at $18-20/hour
