About the role
We’re looking for a driven, strategic leader to spearhead our news and editorial operations, working to capture search space in Google Top Stories, Discover, and organic news result. As the Head of News & Editorials, you will be responsible for developing and executing content strategies that generate high-quality traffic that turns into leads for our partners, while also leading and growing a talented editorial team.
What you'll do
• Build and lead the news and editorial operation, from strategy through daily execution
• Develop and implement a robust content strategy aimed at driving significant traffic growth, particularly through Google Top Stories, Discover, Google News, and general organic search results - with a focus on lead generation.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing editorial team.
• Ensure all news content is optimized for search, focusing on visibility in both regular organic search and relevant news features.
• Oversee the development and execution of a content calendar that prioritizes coverage that is relevant for the iGaming sector.
• Work cross-functionally with SEO, marketing, and product teams to align news/editorials content efforts with general business goals and with an aim to stay ahead of industry trends.
• Regularly analyze content performance, adapt strategies, and make informed decisions to continuously improve traffic and lead generation.
What we're looking for
• Previous iGaming experience, preferably with the US market.
• Proven experience building and managing editorial or newsroom teams, with a results-driven and positive team culture.
• In-depth knowledge of news SEO and hands-on experience ranking content in Google Top Stories, Discover and Google News.
• A track record of content strategies that delivered measurable traffic growth.
• A process-driven mindset and experience creating playbooks that a team can run consistently.
• Familiarity with lead generation and affiliate marketing, and how content can be optimized for conversion.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with tools like Google Search Console and GA4.
