Asset Management Expert - Overhead High Voltage Lines

We are looking for a motivated Asset Manager - Overhead High Voltage Lines to join our Asset Management team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The ideal candidate has between 5 to 10 years of experience in the power transmission sector and solid expertise in overhead transmission lines, gained through roles in engineering, maintenance, reliability, or asset management. In this position, you will support the development and implementation of asset management strategies aimed at improving asset performance, reliability, and lifecycle value.
Experience in asset health assessment, condition monitoring, reliability analysis, and maintenance optimization of high-voltage overhead line assets is essential.
Typical activities involve (but are not limited to):
Asset Strategy & Lifecycle Management
• Develop and maintain asset management strategies for overhead transmission line assets, including conductors, towers, foundations, insulators, fittings, and associated equipment.
• Support the definition of maintenance, refurbishment, and replacement strategies based on asset condition, criticality, risk, and lifecycle considerations.
• Contribute to asset investment planning and prioritisation through risk-based decision-making approaches.
• Participate in the development of long-term asset management plans aligned with business objectives.
Asset Condition & Performance Assessment
• Analyse inspection, maintenance, and operational data to assess asset health and performance.
• Support the development and enhancement of Asset Health Indices (AHI) and risk assessment methodologies.
• Identify degradation mechanisms and emerging risks affecting overhead line assets.
• Provide technical recommendations regarding maintenance interventions, refurbishment, or replacement programmes.
Condition Monitoring & Reliability Engineering
• Define and improve condition monitoring programmes for overhead line assets.
• Evaluate data obtained from inspections, LiDAR surveys, thermographic inspections, drone inspections, corrosion assessments, foundation inspections, and conductor condition assessments.
• Perform reliability, failure, and trend analyses to identify performance improvements and risk mitigation opportunities.
• Support the adoption of predictive and condition-based maintenance approaches.
Technical Support & Governance
• Provide technical expertise to engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.
• Contribute to the development of asset management policies, standards, procedures, and governance processes.
• Support asset data quality improvement initiatives and digital asset management programmes.
• Participate in asset management maturity improvement initiatives aligned with industry best practices and ISO 55000 principles.
Your responsibilities will be decided based on your competencies and expertise and will be discussed during your interviews with managers.
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. A Master's degree is considered an advantage.
• 5 to 10 years of professional experience within the power transmission sector, including proven experience with high-voltage overhead transmission lines.
• Experience in asset management, maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, transmission line engineering, or integrity management.
• Experience working with utilities, transmission system operators, or engineering consulting organisations is highly desirable.
• Fluent in English; Knowledge of Arabic is a strong asset.

Location
Riyadh – Mobility required: 20% mainly ME (willingness to travel abroad for international assignments, depending on the business development or project needs).
